This site has been a long time in the making, and we are thrilled to introduce Bookt Events to the world. Belinda Cheng Lui first reached out to us last year when she was just coming up with an idea of her own event planning business. We worked with her from the very beginning on a site design concept and branding. She took some time to work with new clients and gather some photography to fill her portfolio with, and now there is a beautiful site for her to showcase everything on. She will also be blogging on the site about weddings, style, and all of the events she will be planning in the months to come.
We are super stoked to introduce our newest project, and our very first site for a full musical production! The Circus In Winter is a new musical based on the book by Cathy Day. It has been in development for a while now, coming out of a student production at Ball State University. Since then, it has been workshopped many times, and is now being staged in its first commercial production at Goodspeed Operahouse in the fall of 2014. After that, the next step will hopefully be Broadway!
Hunter Foster is attached to write the book, and rumor has it that Sutton Foster is attached to the project as well (she starred in a previous reading of the show). The site is currently launched behind a password protected splash page, due to some development and legal restrictions. We’ll be sure to keep you posted when the site is launched in its entirety to the public. In the meantime, check out the shows social media pages to hear some music and get a feel for what the circus is all about.
I came across this beautiful site for Broadway actress Elizabeth Stanley, and I had to share it. It is a great example of simplicity in design that showcases her and her photos so well. The most striking feature of this site is the side scrolling photo galleries on the home page and on the photos page. While this site was built with a simple theme on a do-it-yourself web builder program, she found clever ways to customize it to make it her own. I can’t wait to see her in her next big show.
